Jorgs Rehabilitation Centres are chemical dependence treatment and rehabilitation centers funded and run by Jorgs Trust, a charitable organization registered in Kenya in the year 2004. We opened our first centre, Jorgs Ark, during 2005 in the serene area of Tigoni and haven't looked back since. All of our facilities are accredited by NACADA, the central government regulatory body on addiction services, and licenced by the Ministry of Health through the Medical and Dentist Practitioners Board of Kenya.

Relapse is one of the most misunderstood parts of recovery. For a long time, I thought relapse meant failure. I thought it erased everything that came before it. I thought it proved that sobriety was not possible for me. What I learned later is that relapse is not the exception in recovery. It is the norm.

Accepting relapse as part of the process does not mean excusing it or minimizing it. That is an important distinction. If we are too harsh with ourselves, shame keeps us stuck. But if we are too gentle, we risk doing nothing at all. The goal is honesty with accountability. Compassion paired with action.

What matters most after a relapse is not beating yourself up or pretending it did not matter. What matters is what you do next.

Relapse does not mean you are back at the beginning. It means you are still learning. It means the work is not finished yet. What turns a relapse into a setback instead of a dead end is how quickly you re engage with sobriety.

Recovery is not built on perfection. It is built on persistence. And if you stay in the process, even imperfectly, abstinence becomes more likely with time.

DRUG & ALCOHOL REHABILITATION EXPLAINED.
Alcohol and drugs works on the brain reward system. Each drug has an active element that triggers the brain in a certain way. The drug active element make the user feel nice by triggering release of DOPAMINE which makes one happy and relaxed. This release of dopamine makes one want to get more of the same nice feeling by using more of the drug. These chemicals adjusts the brain chemistry and eventually the brain starts "thirsting" for these chemicals because it uses them but it can't produce them. When it deprives it, it sends a thirst signal which you can't ignore. This is what drugs does. One cannot scold somebody thirsting for water, sleep, food to quit the crave. It is a biological process, and drugs creates the same biological paths and processes in the brain.
To mitigate these effects a person requires to be treated to reverse the effects.This is done by therapies access points to these drugs through rehabilitate the person to a rehab centre,and teach the person how to live without using these drugs again.
