From small beginnings comes the strongest stories.💛

They arrived earlier than expected.
At just 30 weeks, tiny, fragile, and fighting for every breathe — two little fighters began their journey in our Newborn Unit.
The days that followed were filled with monitors, careful hands, silent prayers, and moments that tested strength — for the parents, and for the team standing beside them.
They faced Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
They fought through extremely low birth weight.
They spent over a month growing, healing, and proving that even the smallest warriors can have the biggest fight.
And slowly… day by day… gram by gram… Breath by breath, they grew stronger.
There were moments of fear.
There were moments of waiting.
But above all, there was perseverance.
And for them to finally go home with so much joy — and without any long-term complications — was truly amazing.

On this day , these beautiful twins returned to our Postpartum Clinic for follow-up, looking healthier, stronger, and full of life — a moment that reminds us why neonatal care is more than medicine. It is hope. It is teamwork. It is heart.
They are proudly Jekim Babies — and their story is a reminder that behind every incubator is a future waiting to happen.
To our Newborn Unit team — your skill, patience, and compassion change lives every single day.
To the parents — thank you for trusting us during one of the most vulnerable moments of your lives and CONGRATULATIONS.
To our little champions — your journey has inspired us all.

Have a wonderful week ahead

📉 How Much Alcohol Is Too Much? What Doctors and Health Experts Say:
Alcohol affects every body differently, but decades of medical research show that drinking less alcohol is better for your health — and that there is no completely “safe” amount for everyone.

🍷 Standard Drink Sizes
To understand limits, first know what a standard drink is:

🍺 Beer:
1 regular bottle or can (about 350 ml)
(e.g. one Tusker, White Cap, or similar beer)
🍷 Wine:
1 small wine glass (about 150 m
Spirits (whisky, vodka, gin, rum):
1 small shot (about 1 tablespoon × 3, or one pub shot)
👉 Each of these = ONE drink

📍 Recommended Limits for Adults
According to doctors and major health organizations like the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA):
✔ Women:
👉 Not more than 1 drink per day — over this increases health risks.
✔ Men:
👉 Not more than 2 drinks per day — above this is linked to higher risks of harm.
➡️ These limits represent daily maximums on any given day, not weekly averages.

❌ What Counts as “Too Much”?
Doctors describe heavier drinking patterns that significantly raise health risks:
🚫 Binge drinking:
Women: 4+ drinks in ~2 hours
Men: 5+ drinks in ~2 hours
This causes rapid rise in blood alcohol and increases risk of accidents, poisoning, and long-term disease.
🚫 Heavy drinking (weekly):
Women: ≥8 drinks per week
Men: ≥15 drinks per week
This pattern greatly raises risk for liver disease, heart problems, and alcohol use disorder.

🧠 What Doctors Emphasize

Even moderate drinking increases risk of high blood pressure, arrhythmias, and certain cancers.
There is no single safe level of drinking for every person. The less you drink, the less your risk.
People with health conditions, on medications, pregnant, or under legal drinking ages should avoid alcohol altogether.

📢 Bottom Line
💡 Too much alcohol = any amount that exceeds these limits or causes harm.
The safest guideline doctors give is simple:
👉 If you choose to drink:
Women: ≤1 drink/day
Men: ≤2 drinks/day
…and less is always healthier than more.
