Our team recently visited the students at St. Mary's Mabera Girls' Secondary School to sensitive them on proper menstrual health management.

We guided and actively demonstrated to them proper ways of placing pads as well as removing, rolling, and discarding them in the pedal bins we provide.

Going forward, the girls are in a better position to manage their in a signified and safe manner, while protecting the environment!

Our team recently visited Kwoyo Kodalo Mixed Secondary School in Awendo Constituency, Migori County. Here, we educated more than 100 female learners on menstrual health management and fitted their toilets with 18-liter sanitary waste disposal pedal bins.

At Newplus Waste, we strongly believe that menstruation should not prevent girls from attending and performing well in school. Therefore, it is important teach secondary school girls and provide them with opportunities to ask questions and discuss matters relating to menstrual health management (MHM).

Doing so helps girls to understand what is happening to their bodies, and it will help them to manage their menstruation in a healthy way. Likewise, girls should be provided with access to menstrual health management facilities to make it easier for them to manage menstruation during school hours.

We are committed to educating and provisioning girls to end period stigma and enhance educational outcomes. Having sensitized them on and provided pedal bins that we empty on a regular basis, therefore, female learners at Kwoyo Kodalo Mixed Secondary School are now better placed to be fully present and perform well in class.
