Today, millions of women and girls around the world are stigmatised, excluded and discriminated against simply because they menstruate.
It’s not acceptable that because of a natural bodily function women and girls continue to be prevented from getting an education, earning an income and fully and equally participating in everyday life.
Today as we Mark with the theme Making menstruation a normal fact of life by 2020 ,
Here are some of our Menstrual hygiene day wishes;
📌Menstrual hygiene should be taught to every girl so that she can have smooth and healthy well-being during menstruation and otherwise.

📌Being unaware about menstrual hygiene is one of the biggest threats to the health of women. Let us make them aware about it.

📌Poor menstrual health can lead to so many health complications but with regular hygiene, we can keep them away.

📌Let us make more and more women aware of the importance of menstrual hygiene for a better life.

📌Menstrual health is often neglected thinking that it is not important but it greatly affects a woman’s health.

📌Maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation is of extreme importance for any woman.

Meaningful youth engagement in decision ,policies and procedures making process are key and in line with the Mombasa County AYP strategy 2018-2023 on AYSRHR.
Today we participated in the stakeholders forum in preparation of the Teen pregnancy Awareness Month to draw an action plan for Mombasa county. The meeting involved developing messages and murals on teen pregnancy awareness across Mombasa county. The meeting agreed to intensify activities geared towards reducing the pregnancies and creating public awareness of the problem .
The meeting was jointly organized by the Department of health services, AMREF, and the national Council of population and Development( NCPD). The meeting was graced by Mombasa County Durector of Public health Dr Salma Swaleh , County GBV/ AYP coordinator Ms Celina Kithinji at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and SPA Mombasa
