On World Radio Day, we remember how radio used to weave stories that stayed with us—a voice that filled the silence and made us feel that we were not alone.
But behind every broadcast wave… there are those who may miss these moments.
At Cochlear, we highlight the importance of access to sound and its role in building human connections, as part of our mission: to help people hear and be heard.
Today, we reaffirm our commitment to continue our journey of empowering more people to reconnect with the world of sound—so they can hear, communicate, and share their stories with the world once again.

🌍 Over 700,000 Lives Transformed

Did you know that more than 700,000 people globally benefit from a Cochlear™ Implant? Think about how many hours of hearing that amounts to each year. That is a number we would love to celebrate!

February 25th is International Cochlear Implant Day, a day to honor the groundbreaking surgery performed on this day in the late 1950s that paved the way for the development of cochlear implant technology. This day serves as a global reminder of the transformative power of cochlear implants in restoring hearing and enhancing lives (Source: eurociu.eu).

Join us in celebrating this incredible milestone!
