Why do you always apologize first even when you know you did nothing wrong?🤔
He went quiet. You could feel the tension in the room.
Five minutes passed. Then ten 😥.
And even though you knew in your heart you did nothing wrong, you were the one who walked over and said "I am sorry."
Just to make it stop.
And the moment you said it, the tension lifted ☺️.
He relaxed. Things went back to normal.
But something inside you sank 😔.
Because you did it again.
This is not about being the bigger person.
This is about the silence feeling so unbearable that you will say anything to end it.
That feeling is not coming from this relationship.
It is coming from somewhere much earlier.
A home where silence meant danger.
Where tension meant something bad was about to happen.
So you learned to fix it fast. Before it got worse.
That was smart then. It is costing you now.
Because every time you apologize for something you did not do, you teach yourself that your truth matters less than someone else's comfort.
You do not have to keep doing this.
If this is you, comment "PEACE" below and I will reach out to you personally.
Much Love 🥰
