🔥 Today Monday is a fresh canvas, a resent buttoned and a chance to set the tone. We are here to remind you that excellence is not a single act, but a habit; Today is your chance to reinforce the habit of showing up, even when you don't feel like it. That's where discipline beats motivation.

🎗️ "We had it harder and we turned out fine": This is one of the most common barriers. Many adults compare their own childhoods to today's world without recognizing that the pressures are fundamentally different. They faced different challenges, but the intense, always on social media, academic pressure and uncertain future that young people navigate today are unprecedented.

✨ This comparison invalidates a young person's very real struggles. As an organization we are working endlessly to ensure that hidden struggles of young people are recognized and immediate help is accorded.

💥 It is "Not a Real Illness": For generations, mental health struggles were seen as a personal weakness, a character flaw, or lack of willpower, rather than a legitimate health issue. This old fashioned view persists. If someone doesn't believe depression is a real illness, they won't see treating it as a priority.

✨ Under the Resilient Teen Club program, we are not just creating safe places for young people but also creating awareness on mental health, encouraging young people to seek mental health services once they are faced with Challenges.

💫 The urgent need of mental health safe spaces for young people is driven by a global crisis: mental health conditions among young people are rising at an unprecedented rate, yet the systems designed to help them are often inaccessible, stigmatizing or clinically inadequate.

🎗️ Under Resilient Teen Club program, we offer a welcoming environment free from stigma and discrimination that puts the need of young people at the centre.

💫Mental health access among young people in Kenya is critically low. Nationally representative surveys show that only a small fraction of adolescents with mental health conditions receive the support needed.

💥As an organization we recognize this gap, therefore under the Resilient Teen Club program, we are creating safe spaces where young people can get adequate psychological support as well as get equiped with psychological tools to navigate life challenges.

💥 Loneliness is a profound emotional state that can have significant and a wide ranging effects on your mental health. Loneliness can be mentally consuming therefore if you are someone struggling with loneliness, reach out to your immediate support system. You can also reach out to a professional.

✨ Always remember reaching out is a strength and the first step towards breaking the cycle.

✨ Mental health conditions often manifest during youth. In fact half of all lifetime mental health conditions begin by the age 14 and 75% begin by age 24.

💫 Without early intervention, these conditions can severely disrupt education, social development and family relationships, leading to a downward spiral that is harder to escape later in life.

🎗️Therefore mental health programs provide that essential early intervention. As an organization we are working tirelessly to ensure mental health services are accessible to young people.

💥 Young people are navigating a world that is fundamentally different from the one their parents or older millennials grew up in. This creates a perfect storm of stressors that can overwhelm their still-development coping mechanisms.

✨ Therefore, this calls for safer spaces to support their mental health. Under the Resilient Teen Club program we are empowering young people to develop emotional strength, self awareness and resilience required to thrive in a complex and challenging world.

💫Despite increased awareness in recent years, period poverty remains a significant challenge and often hidden crisis that affects millions of young gilrs globally, with profound implications for their health, education and dignity.

💥The shame, stress and social isolation resulting from an inability to manage menstruation with dignity can have profound and lasting effects on a young person's well-being.

🎗️As an organisation, we recognise these challenges and therefore one of our key approach is improving access to products under the SHEFT project. Additionally we are implementing comprehensive menstrual education in schools for both boys and girls in order to dispel myths, normalise menstruation as well as reduce stigma.

🔥 We can reach as many young people as possible when we come together.

💥 Despite global attention, there is still a lot of work to ensure that young people access mental health support because significant systematic, social a d informational barriers persist. These obstacles prevent millions of young people from receiving the care they need, even when services are available.

🔥 As an organization, we are moving beyond seeing young people as passive recipients of care and engage them as partners in designing, implementing and evaluating the services meant for them.
