Scrub Life Chronicles, The Day I Wore My Scrubs Inside Out

If you’ve ever been in healthcare training, you know scrubs aren’t just an outfit; they’re a lifestyle. But nobody warned me that they can also be a source of pure comedy.

Picture this: First week of clinical practice. I’m nervous. I want to make a good impression. I put on my fresh scrubs, grabbed my notebook, and strutted into the ward like a future healthcare hero.

…Only to have a patient’s relative kindly whisper, “Umm, I think your pockets are showing.”
Turns out, I’d been walking around for two hours with my scrubs inside out. Pockets flapping, tag dancing in the breeze, the whole fashion disaster.

We laughed about it all day. And I learned a valuable lesson: in healthcare, confidence is important… but double-checking your scrubs in the mirror? Essential.

Whether it’s glove mishaps, mask mix-ups, or running to class thinking your stethoscope is missing (and it’s actually around your neck), training days are full of funny little moments.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the skills we gain, it’s about the memories (and laughs) we make along the way.
