..part 2/2

Ingredients:-
✔ 5 Bitter Gourds (Peeled washed deseeded and deep fried)
✔ Oil for frying
✔ Red Chili powder – to taste
✔ Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
✔ Paneer- 250 gms
✔ Coriander (dhania) leaves – 1 tbsp
✔ Onion - 1 medium
✔ Garam Masala - ½ tsp
✔ Tomato - 1 medium
✔ Salt to taste

Deep or shallow fry the gourd. (Use your means of preference as long as the gourd cooks through).

Crumble the paneer & add to it the spices (salt & red pepper). Use this mixture and fill the gourds.

In a pan, add a little oil and fry the chopped onions till transparent.

Add the chopped tomatoes & fry for a little while. Add the dry spices to the tomatoes (salt, pepper, turmeric). Simmer.

Add the stuffed gourd to the pan & mix well, make sure the stuffing doesn't come out. If there is little paneer left over, add it alongside the gourd.

Reduce the heat and let it cook for a further 10 mins. Fold the mixture over the gourd occasionally.

Finally add the chopped coriander together with the Garam masala.
Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish with Chapati, Rice, Mash potatoes etc...

Dinner is ready, Enjoy!

BITTER GOURD / MELON

BITTER GOURD also known as balsam apple, bitter melon or balsam pear. It is renowned for its medicinal properties as well as its exotic, acquired taste🤭.

Nutritional info I found: Bitter gourds are very low in calories but dense with precious nutrients. It is an excellent source of vitamins B1, B2, and B3, C, magnesium, folic acid, zinc, phosphorus, and manganese, and has high dietary fiber. It is rich in iron and contains twice the beta-carotene of broccoli, twice the calcium of spinach, and twice the potassium of a banana!

This bitter gem has like a trillion benefits....which is really mind-boggling🙃! .........with that said.....grit your teeth if you must.....😊...and add this vegetable to your diet........! Here we go.. part 1/2

BITTER IS BETTER!

When I think of bitter, my mind brings up pictures of aloe vera, neem (muharubaini), Bitter melon (karela)

There others who look at the likes of lemon, lime, dandelion etc.....
but what is it with these bitter foods.....really?

Well, this is what I found out..........

1. Bitter is what heals!
2. Bitter stuff is what can / will save your life!
3. The ‘bitterer’ something is, the more it will en-liven your liver.

THE LIVER
In this context, the liver is where all the toxic stuff is backed up since the day one was conceived. It is essentially our body’s filter.
This is where all our not-so-good food/life choices end up… the likes of ci******es, alcohol, preservatives, food additives, chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, plastic fumes, pesticides, w**d killers, household cleansers, dry cleaning chemicals, overly fried food, toxic chemicals, etc.
So, the bitter plants will do to a liver what a million-dollar bill does to you- wake you up and inspire you to get to work and clean up your act. …How awesome is nature!!!
These bitter plants might not taste great, but remember it is the sugary nicey nicey tasting stuff that got us into trouble in the first place.

Let us try not to judge food by how good it tastes, rather, the rule of thumb should be...the worse something tastes, the better it is for you.

….anyhow, there are also ways of making even the nastiest healing herb palatable.

When one is living with a mental disorder, they often experiences stigma on multiple levels.

Stereotypes surrounding
those with mental illnesses leads to public stigma, especially since many people associate mental illnesses
with madness, witchcraft etc…”

“A staggering 1 out of 4 persons who seek healthcare in Kenya have a mental health condition.
Depression is common & there are increasing rates of substance & alcohol use disorders..”

Sadly this is not just borrowed information but a reflection of the mental health state of our nation.

It doesn't take much for an individual to tip over into a state of despair or disillusionment.

Change starts with self, our internal conversations will show up on the outside . Our bodies simply become a mirror of our digestion...sense digestion.

I LOVE YOU is a sentence that all of us deserve to hear. Every relationship thrives with this affirmation. Every self is built from within when this is expressed. Sadly we confine this to a particular day or not at all

However, there is a way to change this. The small steps begin within. We can only pour out from a filled vessel. Let's start by telling it to ourselves, daily and at every moment. It doesn't matter if our present reality challenges us..keep repeating this to self. Let this sink deep into our subconscious.

Then, tell this to someone else, say it sincerely. Collectively we can lift this dark cloud of depression, despair and dejection that is fast suffocating us. The is the new cancer and it is metastasizing creating all manner of dis-eases in its wake!

Make someone feel special from today and everyday. A soul is waiting to hear it.

Nakuona Nakusikia!

💕 I LOVE YOU 💕

Knowledge is power!

In the quest to attain knowledge I sometimes come across an insight that is both inspiring yet a tad insulting. Like the one attached.

But before we entertain the same sentiment, let us think deep about this quote for a minute.

What is it about our mind that is so amazing and a game changer? It seems that we need to pay close attention to this area of our being because it contains the information that can unlock our seemingly impossible circumstances.

Our minds represent our hopes and our future, sadly it is the last place where we turn to for help! This should never be said of the members in this forum.

It is my desire that we jealousy guard our 5 senses in turn sheilding our minds. We cannot afford to live carelessly!

It is a fact: we are what we digest in every aspect, through every sense gate that we possess.

Does that mean that we ignore our current realities? Ofcourse not, rather this means it is WE who will speak what we WANT to eventually see in our realities.

Every difficult turn has no choice but to come and pass!

🛑 Long read alert🛑

I spend alot of time amazed at creation, human beings specifically. I haven't fully grasped how powerful we as human beings really are! Every moment is a learning experience.

We possess faculties and abilities that we are not even aware of or fully exploited.

Allow me to dwell on one today.

We have heard and/or witnessed the power our words have had, in creating havoc or otherwise in our lives.

Let's pause for a minute and really let this sink deep.

*Our words create our world*

With the use of a strategy, focus and sound (words) a wall came down! A fortress! A whole solid wall! This just blows my mind.

Are we able to do the same today? Yes indeed! I have tried it on both inanimate objects and animate situations, with precision results..We have POWER!

13/03/2023

Part 2

Can we make this a lifestyle? Why not? Though this will need alot of practice.

Let's employ this truth in any area of our lives. What are the walls that we need to bring down? In our health? Relationships?

Have we given up and decided a certain situation is too complicated and or hopeless?

Even if I remain as the last man standing I want to exploit all that my 'being' has to offer. This seems to be the key to living life abundantly, optimally....who wouldn't want that?

A story was shared of a loved one who had an area of dis-ease. A herbal protocol was engaged and the team involved waited patiently for positive feedback. It came. They were on the way to a great testimony. The excitement was palpable. A few months later, their client was back.

Part 3

The dis-ease seemed to have re-energised and they were in a worse state. The team was floored, they racked their brains, asked questions, went through the client's bio data again. Maybe they had overlooked some information.

Then one day, in session, the client made this comment. I am not sure if I am meant to be healed. Maybe I am trying to hard!!!!

It may look like a small comment but...could it? was it the key?

Let us use our voice wisely. Let's start by creating a sound battle plan. Call out that solid wall of dejection, despair, depression or whatever the challenge is. And command it to come down.

There is a place for nutrition, medical intervention, diet/herbs etc.

However our voices bring our fears or faith to the fore. Any gains made by nutrition, diet, herbs or the conventional route can be reversed in the twinkling of an eye.

Make up your mind. What will it be?

Blessed day 🍇

So we attract those things that we give alot of attention to ...!
..so if the focus is lack then...if it's a bitter situation then..
If it's abundance then.

Where is your focus..?

The stories making the debut in news in the recent times have been disheartening. The NEW Cancer is that of despair and dejection.

We are witnessing, daily, people make very difficult or disheartening choices.

We can no longer ignore the role of our minds in the quest for healing.. optimal healing.

Learning how it functions in regards to our whole being is no longer a preserve of the medical professionals.

We must want to learn so that we can be of support to our loved ones as well.

Remember: The power of the mind reigns supreme over every other external stimulus, when it comes to forming or transforming our human experiences.
