Here is life's reality, the only thing that is predictable is the unpredictable. As long as we live, we shall encounter situations that were not planned for and which are beyond our control. Thus the need to learn how to handle the unexpected.
The sad part about this reality is, some of these life's uncertainties can result to a disruption to how we envisioned our lives would turn out. Sadly, many people keep reminiscing a life they perceived and thought they deserved and so they keep beating themselves up over decisions they made that derailed them or caused them to miss their window.
I know of people who wish they did things differently, wish they chose one profession over the other, regret the person they took for granted or the marriage they refused to fight for, or calls they missed and now can never call the same people since they are no more. Whilst some of life's disruptions might have been caused by the womb of our mistakes, others are entirely beyond us and unpredictability of life causes a disruption that we couldn't control whatsoever.
Now, when our dreams are not realised, that is enough ground to take us to a low place. Although grieving is necessary, if one remains in a sunken state for long, it can be detrimental and lead severe physiological issues. The inability and unwillingness to accept one's new normal can lead to situational depression.
Good news is, beyond the loss of a job or a career you once esteemed, betrayal from that person you loved, the hurt , the pain, the loss of a loved one, lost and missed opportunities, lack of a relationship or marriage you so longed for, one can pick themselves up, make peace with the past that never came to a reality , embrace the new normal and recover and bloom in the new season.
It is with this background , that we shall be holding a series of webinars and training targeted towards dealing with some frustrations that life has brought or we brought to ourselves.
Join us tomorrow as we delve on a sensitive subject of job loss and how to recover from that setback. Jobs are not just a means by how we make a living, to some degree, they give life meaning & purpose and we know it can be devastating to suddenly lose the very thing you once identified yourself with.
We want to be a bounce back, resilient and adaptable people who can rise again in spite of life's set backs.
We can certainly partner with the Lord, who holds our future and time to accept the detours and the life He picks for us, for it is always better.
