At the Africa Project Finance Program, every participant is required to develop an Action Learning Project (ALP); a hands-on initiative where they identify an infrastructure need within their locality and, guided by the Faculty, take it through the entire project cycle until it is ready for procurement.

This practical approach immerses learners in the real mechanics of infrastructure development, from need identification, feasibility studies, and contract drafting to the preparation of tender packages and contract management. It is true action-based learning designed to equip professionals with the skills to structure and deliver bankable projects.

Registration for the 16th Cohort, starting on 7th October 2025, is now open. Registration and access to a detailed brochure is on the link https://miundomisingi.com/africa-project-finance-program/

Kenya is at a pivotal moment in its development journey. With growing demand for high-quality infrastructure in energy, transport, housing, water, health, education, housing and ICT, the country faces a widening financing gap. Despite efforts to attract both public and private sector investments, project delivery often lags due to limited access to long-term capital and fragmented institutional support. A compelling solution lies in the consolidation of existing government investments in the development and banking sector into a single, robust Kenya Infrastructure Development Bank.
