ALBINO GAW DAR LAM, ACTING CHAIRMAN OF THE FANGAK COMMUNITY, WROTE A LETTER OF APPRECIATION TO PRESIDENT SALVA KIIR MAYARDIT OF SOUTH SUDAN FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF CDE. PUOK BOL PAR AS CHAIRPERSON OF THE SPLM YOUTH LEAGUE AND LT. GEN. ABRAHAM KEAT BICHIOK AS DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE EXTERNAL SECURITY BUREAU.

Many people who waste their time following and believing G*i Nyadeang’s posts do not even know him in person. That is why they keep listening to his false narratives. If you truly knew him, you would not even bother to comment on his posts. A mature and responsible person can clearly see that he is misleading the public by spreading lies about the IO—claiming “IO this” and “IO that.” In reality, he is the one damaging the credibility of IO and that very phrase and behavior make it look like IO is a party only for the Nuer, which is false.
But since he keeps confusing people, I will respond to the post he wrote about Albino Gaw Dar Lam, the Acting Chairman of the Fangak Community, in the absence of the Chairman, Hassan D**g.
If you can read and understand English well, then read this carefully.
First of all, in any community association, there is a clear structure and protocol. There are three principal signatories:
1. Chairperson
2. Secretary General
3. Finance Secretary/Treasurer
Therefore, when the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are absent, the Secretary General automatically assumes the role and responsibilities of the Chairperson on an acting basis. There is absolutely no reason to reject this unless you do not know anything…
Secondly, we must understand the difference between a community organization and a political organization. Albino’s congratulatory and acknowledgement letter was not political or sycophantic. He has every right to congratulate any son or daughter of Fangak, no matter which political party recommended that person. Fangak Community is a non-partisan body. It exists to serve its people, not to promote any political party.
Thirdly, the so-called “Nuer Weew” language used by some people especially when they label Nuer in SPLM-IG as “Nuer Weew” is harmful and irresponsible. That phrase itself creates the false impression that SPLM-IO belongs only to the Nuer, and that any Nuer outside IO is a traitor. This kind of language promotes division, fuels hatred, and isolates Nuer people across political lines.
SPLM-IO is a national movement, not a tribal party. It is a political-military home for all South Sudanese who believe in its objectives and vision. The same applies to SPLM-IG. Both are national parties, not tribal clubs.
Lastly, SPLM-IO and SPLM-IG are national political parties that can accommodate all South Sudanese, regardless of tribe. The Secretary General of any community association is a principal signatory and has the right to act as Chairperson when the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson are absent.
I urge G*i Nyadeang to stop calling liberators like Lt. Gen. Abraham Keat Bichiok “Nuer Weew.” It is absurd and disrespectful,…. Young politicians should avoid and stop using abusive language that destroys unity and disrespects the dignity of the our people across political lines.
Let the community remain above politics, and let politics be handled with respect and principle.
Thank you.
