SEP conducted therapy consultations today at Kaewa, offering personalized support to caregivers and children with disabilities.

We also held a hands-on toy-making workshop where moms learned how to create playful, meaningful toys from everyday materials.

The session highlighted how simple, interactive moments can fuel a child’s growth, learning, and overall development.

SEP conducted a hands-on training session for Community Health Promoters, equipping them with practical skills to better support children with disabilities and their families at the community level.

Together, we are strengthening early identification, referral, and inclusive care.

Today, we join the world in celebrating World Disability Day under the theme “Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress.”

As Special Education Professionals Kenya, we renew our commitment to creating a nation where every person with a disability is seen, valued, and supported to thrive.

We celebrate the resilience of persons with disabilities and appreciate the families, teachers, and caregivers who support them. True social progress happens when no one is left behind, and together with schools, communities, and partners we can build environments that uphold dignity and embrace diversity.

Happy World Disability Day!

We were honoured to host our long standing partners and donors from Wereldhuis West-Vlaanderen, Belgium and eRKO -Christian Children Communities Movement Slovakia at SEP this week. Their continued support over the years has strengthened our work and expanded our reach in ways that truly matter.

It is through partnerships like these that we are able to create meaningful impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families.

Thank you for walking this journey with us, believing in our mission, and helping us make inclusion a reality.

This year, SEP was delighted to participate in the German Annual Christmas Charity event.

We had a wonderful time sharing about our work, connecting with supporters, and showcasing our beautiful books, cards, and toys.

All proceeds from our sales go directly toward supporting children with disabilities.

Thank you to the German Church of Kenya for sponsoring SEP and the continuous support!

Sibling Workshop is Here!

Many of the siblings of children with disabilities take on caregiving roles at home, leaving little time for personal growth.

SEP provides siblings of children with disabilities a supportive and engaging space to connect, express themselves, and enjoy age-appropriate activities.

This year’s program also aims to raise awareness among parents and the community about the challenges these siblings face.
