Hydroponics Kenya

Hydroponics Kenya We are a modern agribusiness providing cost effective and sustainable hydroponic farming solutions to small and medium scale farmers in Eastern Africa.

Company & product
Hydroponics Africa sells customized hydroponic solutions to small and medium scale farmers. Peter Chege the founder and CEO established the company in 2002 where he first focused on supplying farmers with nutrition supplements to enhance animals output. Throughout the years Hydroponics Africa learned that many farmers incurred high costs for animal fodder, and that the quality of animal fodder was often not satisfactory. To address this problem Hydroponics Africa in 2013 started producing hydroponic systems that enable farmers to grow quality animal feed at low cost, while also providing them with the opportunity of growing all sorts of vegetables apart from tubers. Hydroponics Africa's competitiveness and innovation is best shown through their greenhouses that maintain the right temperature without any thermostat or electricity needed. The greenhouse is also constructed with water circulation meaning the water usage is lower than alternative solutions. In addition to supplying greenhouses and nutrition to farmers Hydroponics Africa also offers training and demonstration of the hydroponic system at their office. They have established a training facility with full functioning animal feed and vegetable hydroponic systems along with both livestock and poultry that is only fed with animal feed from the hydroponic system. The Problem of African Farmers

Currently most farmers in Africa use soil to grow crops yet due to climate change, increasing population and decreasing agricultural land to farm on, this method is becoming unsustainable and expensive. Additionally, farmers in East Africa lack access to information and products to help them maintain sustainable, costs effective and environmentally conscious farming methods. Using soil is very inefficient as plants waste a lot of energy rooting out nutrients from the soil, resulting in an extensive amount of time to mature. The Hydroponic Solution

With Hydroponics Africa's hydroponic systems, soil is not required for the growth of fodder and vegetables crops, thus allowing them to be resilient to climate change. And grow faster. Hydroponic methods are more efficient and allow for higher amounts of production than traditional field farming. Hydroponic fodder is highly nutritious and can completely replace conventional grains in feeding livestock. Hydroponics Africa have created hydroponic nutrient formulations specific for particular crops. These nutrient solutions are at the heart of hydroponic farming. By using hydroponic technology, one can grow fodder in just 7 days as opposed to 12 weeks and vegetables 30% faster than soil grown counterparts. The resulting food product has superior nutritional quality, which in turn improves the health and wellbeing of your animal. Products and Services

Hellow! Hellow! Good people we are back with an interesting system we call 'Hydroponics Double Crate Film System'

This is one of Hydroponics Africa simplest system that supports various crops in both greenhouse or in open air. The system has a double crate that helps in media retention, nutrient solution and the crop itself. This system uses the solution efficiently as it requires feeding only ones per week because it has the capacity to retain the excess nutrient solution for a period of seven day. For the Hydroponics greenhouse tomatoes, they take a maximum of three months for the first harvesting thereafter harvesting continues for period of nine months with minimum yield of 10kgs out of possible potential of 20kgs per stem for the growing period. The system is ideal for all vegetables I.e spinach, lettuce, kales, corrianders, brocholli, cauliflower, strawberries etc. Kindly contact us for installations,,,,,,,,
