O-Farms by Bopinc, are pleased to announce that they'll be hosting an in-person event on "Scaling Up Circular" - How To Move Circular Agribusiness From Margin To Mainstream, happening on June 16th as part of Mettā Nairobi’s series. At this event, we’ll explore how we can move circular agribusiness from margin to mainstream through an expert panel discussion. There will also be a showcase by some of the front-running Kenyan SMEs in the O-Farms Accelerator. Lastly, they'll also have a short presentation to share some of the research findings from their "Scoping the Potential of Circular Agribusiness Report" series.

Our Project X program participants in the fashion design category include:

1. Swiry Nyar Kano, founder of Nyar Kano. Nyar Kano is an afro-centric brand that is all about re-imagining, re-introducing and re-creating the ancient lost African style to the modern world in a futuristic way.

2. Brigid Kwamboka Momanyi, founder of NANDI. Nandi is a fashion house inspired by the Zulu Queen to help women exude confidence, boldness and beauty in each design.

3. Sharon Wendo, founder of Epica Jewellery. Epica is a brand that designs and creates African jewelry and body accessories with a modern touch.

Our Project X program participants in the modeling category are as follows:
1. Purity is a commercial model who owns a jewellery brand. JP Jewels helps people look and feel good, creating brass jewellery for men, women and children.

2. Roseann is an upcoming model whose brand focuses on commercial, high fashion and editorial modeling and part-time spokesmanship activities. Her brand also specializes in haute couture, chic, retro, statement looks and eclectic ensembles.

3. Madelaine Muthoni is a young commercial model who uses her talents to help brands materialize their creative concepts. She seeks to be an international runway and travel model who also leverages on her brand to showcase a creative, innovative and investable Africa.

We are proud to announce the commencement of the Opportunities Are Here Project X Incubator Program! Following the Project X talent show that took place last year, the finalists will proceed to a training program where they will receive mentorship on how to grow their brands with support of seed grant funding.

Here are our amazing participants in the performing artiste category:

1. Njeri Mwengi (Njerae) is the founder of The RAVE, a brand that uses music for story telling and therapeutic purposes to bring joy and refresh people.

2. Mercy Irungu is the founder of Kamore, a music brand that focuses on therapeutic music to raise awareness of mental health. Kamore also seeks to build a community that acts as a safe space for music lovers to share on matters surrounding mental health.

3. Grace Munene is the founder of Geek, an artistic brand that produces good, quality music and also doubles in merchandise and art work.

We are excited to have a second run of the COOPEN Program alongside Cariplo Factory promoted by Innovazione per lo sviluppo!

After a successful run of the previous COOPEN program earlier this year, we are currently offering support to another amazing innovator.

COOPEN is an open innovation programme that seeks to create impactful solutions between Italy & Africa. The program supports innovative & sustainable tech solutions to meet sustainable development challenges in Africa through partnerships between Italian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) & Innovation stakeholders.
The program aims to support the innovators in understanding and navigating to develop commercial propositions and prepare their businesses to scale.

Our Innovator for this run of the COOPEN program is Lentera Africa. Lentera is an AgriTech startup working to enable farmers across Africa to adapt to climate change and increase their yield and income.
