Let’s talk about belly fat ,honestly.

Most women think stubborn belly fat means they’re lazy, undisciplined, or not trying hard enough.

But what sits underneath that belly, for many women, is ; not lack of effort. Chronic stress changes how your body behaves.

When stress becomes your baseline; emotional load, financial pressure, poor sleep, constant pushing, unresolved tension; your nervous system shifts into survival mode. And a body in survival does not prioritise fat loss.It prioritises safety.

Under stress, rises.Cortisol is a stress hormone that helps the body manage energy and respond to perceived threat.

With cobstant stress cortisol signals the body to store energy.That energy is often stored as fat, especially visceral fat around the abdomen. It’s biology. The body is preparing for threat.

So you eat less.Train harder.Add more rules.
Blame yourself.But pressure doesn’t convince the body to release weight it convinces it to hold on tighter.

This is why “working harder” or labelling yourself as undisciplined often backfires. You’re trying to force change in a system that feels unsafe.This is not a discipline problem.It’s a regulation problem.

Real change begins when the body feels safe enough to let go not when it’s bullied into submission.

✅️Don’t Aim for 10K Yet

This weekend is not about hitting numbers.It’s about priming your body.

👉 𝗔𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿:

Saturday: 6–8k steps

Sunday: 6–8k steps

This wakes up joints, feet, hips, and nervous system.

✅️ Break the “All-or-Nothing” Mindset

10k steps does not mean one long walk.

Practice splitting:

Morning: 3–4k

Afternoon: 2–3k

Evening: 2–3k

Your brain needs to learn: “This is doable.”

✅️ Prep Your Feet & Knees (Very Important)

Walking volume stresses feet, calves, knees first.

This weekend:

Stretch calves & ankles

Do gentle knee circles

Light squats or sit-to-stands (10–15 reps)

Strong knees are built through movement, not rest.

✅️ Hydration = Joint Support*

Walking increases fluid loss.

Start now:

2–3 litres water daily

Add a pinch of salt or electrolytes if you cramp easily

When will I walk?

Where will I walk?
