LET’S TALK
In our country we have had our share of traumatic events; the Westgate attack, Killings in Northern Kenya, gr***de attacks, Post-election Violence, the 1998 bomb blast, road accidents and many more.
*Definition - trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience or witnessed experience that involves actual or threatened death or serious injury, or a threat to the physical integrity of self or others, and which involves fear, helplessness, or horror.*
In one way or the other we have all been traumatized by these tragedies and reacted in various ways and to various degrees. Whereas these feelings are normal, some people have difficulty moving on with their lives and hence it is important to find constructive ways of managing these emotions.
How are you dealing with the trauma?
How are you helping another person deal with the trauma?

'LET US HEAL THE BODY OF CHRIST'
In this time of loss and grief, pain and suffering, as the Body of Christ some of our parts are suffering and consequently we are all suffering.
" Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4: 10-11

" Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
