On Wednesday, 4th February 2026, we had the honour of facilitating a Leadership Induction and Training for the Student Leadership Council of Kisumu Boysβ National (C1) School at the serene Alabama Resort.
Set away from the usual school environment, the session created the perfect space for reflection, honest conversations, and intentional growth. From the very first session, the student leaders demonstrated curiosity, and a deep desire to serve with excellence. This purpose-driven session was a call to leadership responsibility.
The training focused on grounding the leaders in the **true meaning of leadership: service over status, influence over authority, and responsibility over privilege. Through highly practical and relatable sessions, the council engaged in:
- Understanding the roles and expectations of student leaders in a national school setup
- Building strong foundations in values-based leadership and integrity
- Effective communication and influence within the student body
- Conflict management and problem-solving in real school-life scenarios
- Teamwork, delegation, and accountability for collective success
- Leading by exampleβacademically, socially, and morally
The discussions were rich, the reflections deep, and the participation impressive. The leaders asked critical questions, shared real experiences, and walked away with clarity on how their daily choices directly shape the culture, discipline, and academic focus of the school.
As Kisumu Boysβ National School continues its steady journey of academic and leadership excellence, it is encouraging to see a student leadership council that is intentional, disciplined, and ready to serve. The passion and commitment displayed during the training give great confidence that the school is in safe hands.
We appreciate the school administration, particularly the Chief Principal and the Deputy Administration, for investing in leadership development and trusting us with this important assignment.
