Today at KRCTI Kisumu Campus, we brought staff and volunteers together for a focused KRCTI and RPL dissemination session, and the energy in the room said everything.

It wasn’t just about sharing information. It was about connecting people to opportunity. RPL opened up real conversations around recognizing skills, validating experience, and creating clearer pathways for growth within the health and emergency space.

The engagement was strong, the curiosity even stronger. You could feel minds shifting, people seeing new possibilities for themselves and their work.

Moments like this remind us that at KRCTI, it’s not just about training, it’s about unlocking potential and making progress feel tangible.

In clinical practice, when theory steps aside and skills come in!

At KUTRRH’s maternity wing, learning isn’t simulated. It’s real, real mothers, real newborns, real responsibility. Our Paramedicine students are in it, gaining experience where it actually counts. Not watching. Not guessing. Doing.

And this is why choosing an accredited institution matters. Because when you’re trusted with real lives, training can’t be approximate. It has to meet a standard.

That’s the foundation behind every skill applied here.

Not every day you find kids learning money skills and emergency response at the same event.

Our students showed up at the Akili Kids Treasure Hunt not to compete, but to teach. Simple stuff: what to do if someone chokes, how to check if someone’s breathing, when to call for help.

No drama. Just real skills, shared with real people.

Thanks, KRCS Chapter Team, for showing what being a first responder really means, showing up where you’re needed, even if it’s at a kids’ talent show.

The whistle blows. The crowd cheers. 🏆

But then... a player collapses. A collision leaves someone on the ground, not moving. The game stops.

In that moment, you're not just a coach or a teacher. You're the First Responder. And what you do next changes everything.

From sprains to head injuries, the school sports field is full of high-stakes moments. Don't just watch from the sidelines, be ready to act.

Learn the essentials of Sports First Aid with KRCTI and gain the confidence to handle any emergency on the pitch. 🩺

Stronger partnerships build stronger health systems. Stronger health systems require a skilled and confident workforce.

The Ministry of Health and the Kenya Red Cross Society have signed a comprehensive cooperation framework, chaired by Health CS Aden Duale, to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Top of the agenda? Human resource development, exactly what KRCTI was built for.

This isn't just a policy document. It's a direct call for more trained emergency responders, better-equipped health workers, and a nationally recognized EMS workforce. The Ministry has acknowledged our needs in emergency medical services and pledged support for the recognition of our practice.

At the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute, we bring policy to life. From AEMT and HCA to disaster management and occupational safety, our TVETA-registered, KNQA-accredited programs produce the skilled professionals this framework depends on.

Partnerships work best when commitment is backed by competence. That's where we come in.
