CHEM-LABS was founded in 1995 as a limited liability Company with the aim of procuring and distributing quality laboratory and medical diagnostic products to Clinical laboratories, Universities and Research Institutions in the regional market at competitive and affordable prices. The company is located in the Central business area of Nairobi on Ngara Road, Human House. CHEM-LABS exclusively occupies Human house, which sits on approximately a 0.5 acre piece of land. The main facilities available include offices, a conference/training room, a quality control laboratory, a fully equipped workshop, a warehouse with cold room facilities, a backup power generator and enough parking area for both staff and visitors’ vehicles. To ensure quality customer service and continued technical support, the sales team is made up of trained medical laboratory technologists while the service engineers have a bias in medical engineering. CHEM-LABS has ensured an efficient delivery system of products to customers by investing in a number of delivery vehicles and motor cycles. The latter are equipped with cool boxes for handling the temperature sensitive diagnostic kits. The company also employs the services of two major local courier companies for delivery of urgent supplies to customers outside the Nairobi region. CHEM-LABS endeavors to offer her clients a comprehensive range of diagnostic products spanning the entire line of laboratory medicine including Clinical Chemistry, Elisa, Hematology, Microbiology, Parasitology and Serology and the medical line including Respiratory Management Systems, x-Ray & Mri Systems, Tracheostomy, Hospital Furniture, Hospital General Supplies, Theatre Equipment, Gynaecology and Phlebotomy, Ortho Flexi, Pediatric Beds and Examination Tables, ECG & Ultrasound. Currently, the company has a client portfolio of over 400 institutions made up of Private and Public hospitals, International NGOs, Private Medical Laboratories, Research institutions, Universities and other institutions of higher learning.

In collaboration with Human Quality Assessment Services, we had the pleasure of hosting the brilliant second-year Medical Lab Science students from Kenyatta University for a hands-on hematology practical session!
Our in-house experts took the students through the fundamentals of blood analysis, Internal Quality Control (IQC) and the critical role of the laboratory in the diagnostic process, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world diagnostic excellence. It’s an honor to help shape the hands that will soon be guiding patient care.
