It was a pleasure to host the 3rd annual APT Network last week when representatives from eight organisations came together to share their knowledge and skills on APT. The theme this year was Positioning and the Importance of APT in Positioning.
Thank you to Walkabout Foundation and L'Arche Kenya for organising and leading the sessions, and to all who came and made the event a success.

Postural support equipment provides stability to the trunk and pelvis, which reduces the need for the upper limbs to be used for balance. This stabilisation facilitates functional independence in daily tasks, enabling activities such as eating, writing, and playing.

The APT Kenya project not only benefits children with disabilities, it benefits the wider community by providing meaningful employment opportunities for local caregivers. We understand the challenges they face, and that's why we allow caregivers to bring their children to work, creating a supportive environment for both parents and their little ones.

Big News Announcement!

We are thrilled to announce that our charity, The Potter’s House CBO, has officially changed its name to Jabori Foundation!

Jabori, a Swahili word meaning ‘one who brings comfort to people,’ perfectly captures our mission and values. This name reflects our unwavering commitment to providing comfort and support to individuals facing life's challenges.

Inspired by the powerful message of 2 Corinthians 1 v3-4 where we are reminded that God is the ultimate source of all comfort, just as we have received His comfort, it is our responsibility and privilege to extend that same compassion and care to others.

As we embrace this new identity, we want to reaffirm our dedication to being a beacon of hope for those facing the challenges of poverty and disability in Njoro, Kenya and we look forward to continuing the APT Kenya project under the Jabori Foundation banner.
