Outspan Global University has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the County Government of Laikipia, marking a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening collaboration between public and private healthcare stakeholders.
This partnership is anchored on a shared vision: building healthier, more resilient communities through accessible, people-centered, and compassionate care.
H.E. Hon. Joshua Irungu, EGH, underscored the importance of quality healthcare in ensuring dignity for all, while Chairman Outspan Global Company Ltd, Director Dr. G.M. Kiruhi highlighted the opportunities this collaboration creates, both in enhancing service delivery and providing students with hands-on clinical placements within county facilities.
The CEC for Health, Dr. Albert Wagurah Taiti, emphasized the MoU’s role in advancing timely, collaborative research, particularly in tackling Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) affecting the Mt. Kenya region.
Vice Chancellor Prof. P. M. Mungai reaffirmed the University’s commitment to experiential learning and impactful research that strengthens both preventive and curative healthcare approaches.
The signing was witnessed by Dr. Lydia Muthoni, DVC Student Affairs & Research, Mr. Silas Muguongo, Board of Trustees Representative, and Mr. Muhoro, Administrative Officer, Outspan Hospital Nanyuki Branch.
