To achieve this acknowledging that most of these are often started by individuals with self-doubt, uncertainties and ambiguities, having structures helps bring clarity, channel the vision and mobilize support. These can only be achieved through institutionalization of our works.

In life we have a responsibility to shape the trajectory and course of our development. This involves reflecting on your journey, key drivers and advances towards an envisioned future. Founders have the responsibility of laying the foundation of the organizations they lead by setting a mission & purpose and institutionalising these that they become the soul and spirit of the organization. Doing this focused on the grand impact of such advances is a worthwhile venture.

An enabling and supportive is critical in shaping the trajectory of an organization. However, to set it right, the leadership has to embody the purpose of the organization grounded on moral values and principles.

Just like a child thrives from good nurturing, a successful company needs to be nurtured with care, love and compassion to infuse the skills, capabilities and strengths of all stakeholders to further the mission.

I share perspectives on this in this piece informed by my ongoing mentorship circle discussions.

Research helps us review and critique our health systems. It is important in identifying the problems and gaps present and encourages innovation that changes practice and shapes our policies as a country. To achieve our goals in Universal Health Coverage, we need to adapt best practices from evidence based research.

In line with this, we welcome the youth to submit their abstracts that focus on the aspects of the 6 WHO Health Pillars. The abstracts will be presented in the 2nd Annual YouTH Voices Summit, on 1st - 3rd December at AMREF International University.
