You have not gone to the gym regularly for long time. For some, its been their longest time, ever.
It is seriously hard to stay motivated to workout at home.

Your Capacity of Strength, Stamina, Endurance, Flexibility, and performance are not THE SAME as before the gym closed.

We know that you miss class, friends, coaches, dumbbells, barbells.... So much. But be careful to chug intensity.

It might not kill you, but it could hurt you.

Slowly fall back into old fitness routines. There is no need to rush.

We will make progress together.

Are you living in balance?

Please don't spend what you don't have.

High Intensity Workout = Debt.
Poor Night Sleep = Debt.
Bad Nutrition = Debt.
Lots of Stress = Debt.

Think about these 👆 before you slap your workout in the face, so hard.

If you are experiencing pain, take care of these debts first before asking a coach or searching for a quick fix from YouTube.

If you have back pain that gets worse when you Run, do Burpees, Kipping exercises such as Toes to Bar, Kipping pull up, or a movement that causes your lower back to be in extension, you might NOT have a back problem. Probably not at all to be honest! Here's why!

It could possibly be the problem of one of your hip flexors (Don't start on jamming your hips with a mobility ball yet). It also might not be. Let's talk about our muscles.

There is a muscle called the Re**us Femoris. It's a muscle that connects from your hip flexors to your knee. If the Re**us Femoris is improperly functioning, it could cause your pelvis to dump forward causing your hips to tilt which could result in pain.

If this is related to you, here's a couple exercises that could be helpful:
-Bracing
-Breath Work
-Bird Dog
-Hollow Hold,
-if these aren't working, there are more movements and let's get in contact!

Tightness is how something feels. It is a normal sensation at the end range of motion, even when that full range is full. You should feel tight at end range of motion. Full range + tightness at end range = OK

Shortness is a state of being lacking full range of motion. Your hip extension is short, your ankle dorsiflexion is short. This is objective. It is measurable. Compare this to tightness which is subjective- example: my calves are tight.

Stiffness: decreased rate of change in joint angle. Essentially, when a joint has full flexibility, but it takes more time or force to get there.

Let me repeat: Tightness is a feeling or sensation, shortness is an objective state of being for a muscle.

KNOW TYPE OF PAINS!

Acute Pain
-Short history of onset and does not last longer than a few days or weeks.
-Cause by general known trauma or stress
-Can be relieved by manual therapy (massage, myofascial release-🥎, or joint mobilization, etc...) and REST.

Chronic Pain
-Persistent for months or even years, long history with a poorly defined onset.
-Influenced by all aspects of individual's lifestyle.
-Requires MOVEMENTS
