About Cambodian Ophthalmological Society (COS):

At present, the ophthalmology science in the world has been rapidly developed and thereof there is a need for national and international collaboration for exchange professional skills, experiences among eye care professional in Cambodia and up-to-date clinical/surgical skills to provide the best quality of eye care service delivery for all eye patients. The Cambodian Ophthalmological Society was established in 2003 by the group of eye doctors and approved by the Ministry of Health with the mission to provide quality eye care services in all eye care facilities in all provinces of Cambodia and help all eye care professionals to improve their professional skills and good relation in their career to improve patient reliability by improving the standards of eye care service in the country to meet international standard. Members of COS consist of Ophthalmologists, Basic Eye Doctors, Eye Doctors and Medical Assistants all over the country currently actively providing eye care service for all eye patients and providing eye health education and actively involved in the control of blindness in the country. Currently the COS has 92 members.
