Located on the northern edge of Tonlé Sap Lake, Kompong Khleang Floating Village offers an authentic glimpse into Cambodia’s traditional waterside life. Unlike more commercialized sites, this expansive community remains largely untouched by mass tourism, preserving its cultural integrity and daily rhythms.

Chau Say Tevoda (Tonle Snguot)

is a small sandstone temple facing east, one of
the 102 hospital chapels built across the Khmer Empire under Jayavarman VII.
Over time, the temple suffered severe damage from water, tree growth, and natural aging. Structural weaknesses led to terrace deformation, leaning walls, shifting stones, and partial collapses at the southeast and northwest corners. The mandapa completely fell to the ground.
The APSARA National Authority, through the Department of Conservation of Monuments in Angkor Park and Preventive Archaeology, carried out archaeological surveys, architectural assessments, maintenance, and emergency propping to prevent further collapse.
In 2019, the Royal Government of Cambodia funded Phase I, focusing on stabilizing the central shrine—stone inventory, excavation, conservation treatment, trial assembly, documentation, and careful dismantling. Phases II and III (2020–2021) continued foundation repairs, structural stabilization, and reassembly of the central shrine.

Prohm Kel Temple

Prohm Kel is one of the 102 hospital chapels established during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Located south of Angkor Thom, this modest sandstone sanctuary features a collapsed central tower. Despite its small scale, the site is notable for its carvings of Lokeshvara and Buddhas, as well as finely detailed rural life scenes adorning both sides of the entrance doorway.
