En el Hospital SOLCA de Guayaquil se realizó con éxito la primera ablación pancreática guiada por EUS utilizando nuestro dispositivo EUSRA™, liderada por el Dr. José Ocampo. Él había estado analizando este procedimiento durante mucho tiempo, pero después de discutirlo con el Dr. Jorge Vargas de Costa Rica durante el curso realizado en Perú en agosto de 2025, se sintió confiado en aplicarlo.

En el mismo paciente, el Dr. Iván Nieto llevó a cabo la ablación de un tumor en las vías biliares con la sonda ELRA™, marcando un hito importante en el tratamiento mínimamente invasivo de las patologías pancreáticas y biliares.

Este logro representa un paso significativo para la gastroenterología intervencionista en el Ecuador 🇪🇨👏

At Hospital SOLCA Guayaquil, the first EUS-guided ablation for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumor was successfully performed using our EUSRA™ device, under the leadership of Dr. José Ocampo. After extensive review of this procedure and consultation with Dr. Jorge Vargas from Costa Rica during the professional course held in Peru in August 2025, Dr. Ocampo proceeded with confidence in its application.

In the same patient, Dr. Iván Nieto conducted the ablation of a bile duct tumor using the ELRA™ probe, marking a significant advancement in minimally invasive management of biliary pathologies.

This milestone underscores a meaningful progression in interventional gastroenterology in Ecuador and highlights the impact of innovative endoscopic technologies on patient care and clinical outcomes. 🇪🇨👏

🌏 AEG-Adelaide EUS/ERCP HBP Symposium 2025 was held for the first time outside Asia, in Australia!

Over Aug 29–30, the symposium featured booth exhibitions, lectures, and hands-on sessions, attracting enthusiastic participation from physicians and nurses from Australia and New Zealand.

💡 TaeWoong Medical participated in the booth exhibition and led the EUS-guided RFA session with Course Director Prof. Nam Nguyen, presenting EUS-RFA technology to regional customers.

✨ It was an excellent opportunity to exchange insights, engage with regional experts, and see the latest developments in EUS/ERCP.

🌟 Wrapping up an impactful weekend at the 15th IDDF 2025 & AEG 2025 in Hong Kong!

A big thank you to our Hong Kong distributor, Medi-Technic Group Limited, for sponsoring our participation and making this event possible.

We were proud to host hands-on workshops featuring our EUS devices – HOT SPAXUS and EURSA.
🔹 Dr. Lee Yuk Tong led a hands-on session on EUS pseudocyst drainage using HOT SPAXUS, with around 30 trainees.

🔹 In the EUS-RFA session, Prof. Charing Chong also trained approximately 30 participants, delivering valuable insights and techniques.
