The Soldiers of the Tiger Company 502D Field Hospital completed a Hero Workout of the Day in honor of Remembrance Day—but with our own unique twist: blindfolds.

Because nothing builds trust faster than trying to perform exercises while you can’t see and hoping your battle buddy isn’t guiding you into a cone, a wall, or… anything else questionable. With sight out of the picture, we had to rely completely on listening, communication, and trust in our team leaders (who definitely had a little too much fun giving directions).

There was laughter, teamwork, some creative navigation, and a whole lot of dependence on one another—exactly the spirit we aim to strengthen.
And don’t worry… the DRAW was approved. 😄

On Wednesday, 1SG Palmer and his wife received a plaque from 2nd Area ROKA Support Group (2ARSG) Commander, LTC Kim, who wanted to personally recognize them before the commander’s retirement. The plaque honors their continuous support to the Korean Army and the strong partnership they have helped foster between our forces.

🦃🏈 Turkey Bowl 2025 🏈🦃

This past Tuesday, Soldiers from the 502D Field Hospital and 121st Field Hospital faced off in a fun and competitive flag football Turkey Bowl. More than just a game, it was a chance to build teamwork, strengthen bonds, and enjoy time together as one medical family.

This past Thursday, our outstanding Nutrition Care team hosted a Thanksgiving meal to celebrate the upcoming holiday. We were proud to join the rest of the Silver Dragon leadership in volunteering to serve food to our Soldiers. It was an honor to come together as a team and share in the holiday spirit.

1SG Stephen Palmer

Hailing from Rhode Island, 1SG Palmer joined the U.S. Army in 2009 as a Combat Medic and now serves in South Korea as the First Sergeant of the most forward-deployed expeditionary Role III Field Hospital in the U.S. Army.

He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in San Antonio, TX, training under world champions Rodrigo Pinheiro, Riba Manuel, and Nathiely Jesus, and continues his path under Professor Kris Kim, a 4th Degree Black Belt under the De La Riva association.

A fierce competitor and proud ambassador of the Korean Jiu-Jitsu community, 1SG Palmer embodies the warrior spirit both on and off the mats.

On Thursday, the 502D Field Hospital conducted a Change of Responsibility ceremony, marking the transition of our Senior Enlisted Advisor role from MSG Holland to SFC Susi.
