On June 18, The Cleveland Clinic, which ranks consistently as one of the top medical institutions in the US, invited Dr. Park as a guest lecturer for their Continuing Medical Education program. CME refers to educational activities that American medical professionals take regularly to maintain their board certification and stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge

This particular CME session at the Cleveland Clinic featured the Men's Health Series aiming to explore inflatable pe**le implants in greater depth. Dr. Park delivered an online lecture covering the essential components required for specialization in inflatable pe**le implant surgery. His lecture also covered techniques for performing the inflatable pe**le prosthesis under local anesthesia

On May 22nd in Seoul, the conference on inflatable pe**le implant surgery was held featuring renowned American surgeon Dr. Steven K. Wilson, a leading expert in the field. Over the past 50 years, Dr. Wilson has taught physicians around the world on how to perform inflatable prosthesis surgery and has published numerous research papers, establishing himself as a pioneer and mentor in pe**le implants

With the recent launch of a new inflatable pe**le implant model in Korea, the interest in inflatable pe**le implant surgery among Korean urologists has surged. This conference drew significant participation from younger doctors eager to learn more about the procedure. Dr. Wilson’s lecture, which shared insights from his five decades of surgical experience, received a positive response from attendees. Dr. Park also contributed to the event by sharing his own knowledge, experiences and expertise about inflatable pe**le prosthesis

[Dr. Park Hosts Inaugural Wilson Educational Foundation Pe**le Implant Fellowship]

From May 20th-22nd, the Wilson Education Foundation held its first-ever Inflatable Pe**le Implant Fellowship at Stand Up Prosthetic Urology in South Korea. Dr. Steven K. Wilson and his wife Barbara Wilson started this foundation in order to advance the field of prosthetic urology through ongoing support for medical education, academic initiatives, and international collaboration

The fellowship selected and brought together 3 young urologists, each representing the United States, Turkey, and Iraq to participate in an intensive 3-day program. On the first day, Dr. Wilson delivered a comprehensive lecture on the principles and procedures of inflatable pe**le implant surgery. The following 2 days featured live surgical demonstrations and lectures led by Dr. Park who is a board member of the foundation

This fellowship is a part of the Wilson Educational Foundation’s broader mission to train the next generation of pe**le implant surgeons and to promote the global development of pe**le prosthesis surgery, including in regions like the Middle East where interest is rapidly growing

As a member of the foundation’s board, Dr. Park will continue his efforts in surgical education and hands-on training, both in Korea and internationally

Recently, Uramix released a new surgical instrument called the "Morey-Mooresville Spacemaker Cavernotome". This cavernotome is particularly effective in complexed pe**le implant surgeries involving severe corporal fibrosis. To better illustrate its usage to urologists, Uramix published a surgical demonstration video by Dr. Park on their website

[Dr. Park Performs Live Surgery for Pe**le Implants at UKSH, Germany]

On April 7th–8th, the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) held an advanced symposium on inflatable pe**le prosthesis surgery at the Lübeck campus in Germany. Dr. Osmonov, Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at UKSH, organized the symposium where he invited three international experts, including Dr. Park from South Korea, to speak at the event. In addition, urologists from Germany, neighboring European countries, and the Middle East attended

The symposium aimed to enhance participants' understanding of inflatable implant surgery through intensive lectures and live surgical demonstrations by each speaker. Dr. Park demonstrated inflatable pe**le implant surgery via a subcoronal approach on a patient who had previously undergone a radical prostatectomy. He also demonstrated local anesthesia for emergency patient who couldn't get general anesthesia due to his heart condition. During this visit, Dr. Park discussed further collaboration with Dr. Osmonov for upcoming IPP training events in Asia pacific region

Dr. Faysal Yafi, Professor of Urology at the University of California, Irvine recently visited Stand Up Prosthetic Urology on March 27th to 28th. During his visit, he observed Dr. Park’s inflatable pe**le implant surgery and engaged in in-depth discussions

Dr. Yafi, who serves as the Director of the Men's Health Center at UC Irvine's Department of Urology, first began collaborating with Dr. Park in 2016 through co-authored papers on topics such as the Mini-Jupette technique for inflatable pe**le prosthesis and differences in surgical outcomes based on types of antibiotics used for pe**le implant coatings in diabetic patients. In 2018, Dr. Yafi visited Dr. Park’s practice, and in 2021, Dr. Park visited UC Irvine, where they discussed various urological conditions, including erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia

Through this recent visit, Dr. Park and Dr. Yafi not only deepened their academic exchange on inflatable implants and male health issues, but also agreed to co-author a new paper and collaborate on relevant research

[Dr. Park Lectures on Pe**le Implants at 1st Wilson Educational Forum]

On January 31st to February 1st, the first Wilson Prosthetic Urology Forum was held in Palm Springs, California and brought together pe**le implant specialists from around the world, including the US, the UK, Germany, South Korea, etc. This forum marked its first meeting of many of the world’s most prominent and experienced experts in prosthetic urology

The Wilson Educational Forum is part of the educational sponsorship activities organized by the Barbara & Steve Wilson Educational Foundation. The forum aims to further advance the field of prosthetic urology by fostering continued interest, and encouraging clinical experience exchanges among expert surgeons

This year’s forum provided comprehensive, in-depth lectures on pe**le prosthesis surgery, its best practices, and patient awareness campaigns. It also served as an opportunity for surgeons to share and discuss their knowledge in the field of prosthetic urology. As one of the board members, Dr. Park helped organize the meeting and gave a lecture about patient awareness with pe**le implant surgery
