Position: Raw Materials Negotiator ( )
Location: Dubai

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is to ensure efficient and effective management in the sourcing of raw materials through vendor selection, negotiation and timely delivery in compliance with company policies and procedures..

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Responsible for negotiating optimal purchase terms for raw materials required for the country’s concrete and cement operations.
• Lower procurement expenses while ensuring all business unit requirements are consistently fulfilled.
• Conduct negotiations to obtain optimal terms for the procurement of raw materials.
• Evaluate national vendors through the Supplier Evaluation process to ensure compliance with Cemex standards and established criteria.
• Ensure full adherence to agreed purchasing terms and conditions.
• Monitor the local implementation and impact of the company’s purchasing policies.
• Manage operations contracting activities for both Dubai and Abu Dhabi locations.
• Negotiate and finalize long-term contracts as well as spot LPOs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Professional Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management degree.
• CIPS certification is an advantage.
• At least 5-6 years’ working experience in UAE for the same field preferably in the same industry.
• English language proficiency is a must, and Arabic and Hindi will be an added advantage.

Job Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Cement/Ready Mix Concrete Industry.
• Extensive expertise in materials, coupled with an understanding of supply market trends and product developments.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• SAP knowledge.
• Basic knowledge for the health and safety industry requirements.
• Familiar and awareness by RFQ process and supplier relationship management.

Personal Attributes:

• Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks with a sense of urgency and achieves results with minimal supervision.
• Good presentation and reporting in a clear and concise manner.
• Team player and willing for flexible working schedule.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Fast learning the new systems and ability to set negotiations strategy.
