Blood sugar levels influence energy, metabolism, and overall health. When levels remain elevated, the body can gradually develop insulin resistance, increasing the risk for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Regular testing provides insight before symptoms become serious, allowing for proactive and personalized care.

Cholesterol plays an essential role in the body, but elevated levels can silently increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Many people feel perfectly fine while damage is already occurring beneath the surface. Routine lab monitoring allows for early intervention, lifestyle guidance, and personalized treatment to protect long term cardiovascular health.

Not sure whether to visit your GP or urgent care?
Knowing where to go can save you time and stress. See your GP for ongoing, non-urgent health concerns and preventive care.

Choose urgent care when you need same-day attention but it’s not life-threatening.

When in doubt, start with your GP β€” we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Halloween is here β€” and so is the mountain of candy! πŸ¬πŸŽƒ

Before the sugar rush takes over, let’s talk about how to keep those smiles (and teeth!) healthy for both kids and adults. ~ Brandi Propas - Dietitian

πŸ‘» Pace it out:
Instead of letting kids (or yourself!) snack on sweets all day, enjoy a few pieces after a meal. Eating candy with food helps minimize sugar exposure and supports better digestion and energy balance.

πŸ’§ Rinse after treats:
A quick rinse with water right after eating sweets helps wash away sugar and acids that stick to your teeth β€” an easy step that makes a big difference.

🍭 How many treats?
A good guideline is 2–3 small treats at a time, paired with water or milk. Store the rest out of sight and enjoy in moderation over the next week.

πŸ₯¦ Balance the sugar:
Add protein, fiber, and healthy fats (think nuts, cheese, yogurt, or veggies with hummus) to steady blood sugar and avoid that post-candy crash.

πŸͺ₯ Brush it off:
Brush twice daily β€” and after Halloween candy night, an extra brushing definitely won’t hurt!

Halloween is meant to be fun β€” just remember, balance is key!
