I will keep coming back to this one…
Because one of the quietest forms of protection we give our children is the internal compass they build from how we treat them.
When they grow up surrounded by respect, warmth, and emotional safety, they don’t mistake mistreatment for love. They don’t shrink to fit someone else’s comfort. They don’t excuse what doesn’t feel right.
That inner “this isn’t how I’m meant to be treated” doesn’t appear out of nowhere — it’s formed in our homes, shaped by the way we speak to them, listen to them, and honour their humanity.
Love becomes their baseline.
And when love is their baseline, anything less becomes unmistakable.
And that’s the gift: not just raising children who feel loved, but raising children who know what love is — so they can walk into the world with a standard, a spine, and a sense of worth that no one can rewrite. ❤️
