Have you heard of Ozempic, Saxenda or victoza!
Well these are originally used for people with Diabetes for regulation of their blood sugar and lowering Hba1c. But recently FDA has approved them as a medication for weight loss ‼️for people with BMI >30 or BMI >27 having diabetes or hypertension or other diseases.
So how does these medications work❓
♦️ They stimulate pancreas to secrete more insulin > lowering blood sugar
♦️They slows gastric emptying therefore feeling full and decrease hunger
♦️They affect central nervous system by suppressing appetite and increasing satiety
But that doesn't mean that they doesn't have many side effects ‼️
♦️Gastrointestinal problems as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, acid reflux
♦️Lowering metabolism (when decrease food intake and protein >decrease in muscle mass therfore decrease metabolism)
♦️Central nervous system ; headache, dizziness, fatigue
♦️Some may have pancreatitis, gallbladder stones anf inflammation, hypoglycemia.
When stopping injections what happens❓
Weight regain occurs due to various factors, including a return to previous eating habits, decreased physical activity, and changes in metabolism.
So the most suitable resolution for ur weight loss is changing ur lifestyle and dedication to a healthy diet along with physical activity.
