On one of the most influential TVs in Middle East, ,Dr. Nabil Fakih discussed the Fat Membrane. His innovation has initiated a paradigm shift in regenerative surgical medicine, offering transformative healing solutions for a wide range of conditions.
During the interview, he highlighted the membrane’s clinical potential and acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the colleagues who helped shape the scientific foundation behind this technology. The core of the research initially focused on diabetic foot treatment, where Dr. Paula Martín-Marfil led the investigation. Many of the early discoveries originated from this patient population.
The research later expanded into Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Manay collaborated closely on conceptualizing the first prototype. Dr. Lessandro Martin subsequently initiated its clinical application. At the same time, Dr. Nazari started and played a crucial role in advancing the investigation and reinforcing its scientific foundation. Dr. Nazari and his colleagues worked diligently to expand the scientific evidence behind the membrane, contributing detailed observations, and helping establish a more robust understanding of its regenerative mechanisms and clinical benefits. In parallel, Dr. Froilán Páez began applying the membrane in reconstructive rhinoplasty surgery, work that was later also initiated by Dr. Cristian Cordero. Finally, Dr. Cristina Muñoz, working alongside Dr. Nabil Fakih, has continued to support and further develop the ongoing research.
Success in medicine comes from sharing knowledge, working as a unified team, and conducting rigorous investigations that contribute high-quality scientific evidence. I am proud to have initiated this important invention and to have been supported by a dedicated team who worked side by side to advance research and help more patients. My thanks to Dr. Nazari for his many calls, messages, and the time he dedicated to advancing this science. I am also grateful to the entire team and to the numerous international colleagues who later used it, too many to name individually without risking forgetting anyone
Thanks
