The LAU Mobile Clinic keeps reaching communities with care and commitment.
This Sunday in Ain Kharroube, free medical consultations will be offered by the medical teams from Medical Centers Rizk and Saint John’s Hospital, along with on-site lab testing including lipid panel, HbA1c, glucose, hematocrit, and hemoglobin. Pediatric screenings will also be provided by the pediatrics team.
One visit at a time, we continue building healthier communities together.

This mission is particularly special as the ophthalmology team will also be present, equipped with specialized equipment to conduct comprehensive eye examinations for the community.

In its fourth joint mission with the Lebanese Army’s Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate, the LAU Mobile Clinic, together with medical teams from LAU Medical Centers Rizk & Saint John’s Hospital and the DT Institute, will deliver free medical services directly to those who need them most in Baalbeck.
For a full day, our specialists in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Cardiology, and Endocrinology will be present on-site, along with laboratory testing, nutrition and psychology consultations, medication distribution, and vital health screenings.

Dr. Bassel Abouzeid is an American Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a specialized focus on minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery, fertility-preserving procedures, and comprehensive obstetric care. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois in the United States and pursued advanced surgical training at Georgetown University Hospital and Wake Forest University Hospital, refining his expertise in complex laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
Dr. Abouzeid provides precision-based surgical management for conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, and chronic pelvic pain. His surgical approach prioritizes fertility preservation, patient safety, minimal tissue trauma, faster recovery, and reduced postoperative discomfort, combining advanced technology with evidence-based medicine to achieve optimal outcomes.
In parallel with his surgical practice, Dr. Abou zeid offers personalized, evidence-based obstetric care, supporting women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Complementing his clinical expertise, he holds an MBA in Healthcare Management.
