On September 11, 2025, The WISH Program at AUBMC convened a National Policy Dialogue on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Lebanon, in partnership with Oxfam GB and in collaboration with the Asfari Institute.
This dialogue united policymakers, health providers, academics, and civil society to confront urgent issues: child marriage and early pregnancy, access to contraception, SRH education, digital health, and the pressing need for a national SRHR strategy.
The discussions made one thing clear: SRHR is not optional—it is a right. Advancing it requires policy reform, community engagement, and stigma-free services that reach adolescents, women, and marginalized groups everywhere.
Together, we are laying the groundwork for a national strategy that speaks to Lebanon’s realities, builds and strategizes on small successes, combats misinformation, and safeguards the right of young people to make informed choices and live a healthy, dignified life.
