SPIL was founded in 2016.

It comprises all the pharmaceutical manufacturers granted an authorization for exploitation of pharmaceutical plant according to the international good manufacturing practices by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

بيان صادر عن نقابة مصانع الأدوية في لبنان

بدعوة من معالي وزير الصحة العامة الدكتور راكان ناصر الدين، عقد وفد من نقابة مصانع الأدوية في لبنان ضمّ رئيسة النقابة الدكتورة كارول أبي كرم، نائب الرئيس الدكتورة برتا أبو زيد عضو النقابة الأستاذ حمد العبدالله، اجتماعاً طارئاً في ظل الأوضاع الدقيقة التي تمر بها المنطقة، وذلك لعرض واقع مخزون الدواء المحلي وسير عمل مصانع الأدوية اللبنانية.

وبعد الاجتماع، يهمّ النقابة أن توضح ما يلي:

تقدّر النقابة التدابير السريعة التي اتخذها معالي وزير الصحة العامة، وجهوده الاستباقية في مقاربة الأزمة، وما أبداه من وعي ومسؤولية في اتخاذ الإجراءات الملائمة.

تطمئن النقابة جميع اللبنانيين إلى أن مصانع الأدوية في لبنان تمتلك مخزوناً كافياً من الأدوية الجاهزة يغطي مدة لا تقل عن ثلاثة أشهر، إضافة إلى توافر المواد الأولية اللازمة للتصنيع لفترة تتراوح بين ثمانية واثني عشر شهراً.

أما بالنسبة لمصانع الأمصال، التي لم تتخلّف يوماً عن تلبية حاجات المستشفيات، فهي تمتلك مخزوناً يغطي ما يقارب ستة أشهر.

من جهته، أكد معالي الوزير أن التنسيق سيكون كاملاً لتأمين مادة المازوت للمصانع بما يضمن استمرار عملها بشكل طبيعي، إضافة إلى تأمين البنزين لضمان إيصال الأدوية إلى المراكز المعنية من دون انقطاع.

تدعو النقابة المواطنين على الأراضي اللبنانية إلى عدم اللجوء إلى تخزين الأدوية، إذ لا يوجد أي مبرر لذلك في ظل توافر المخزون الكافي.

وتؤكد النقابة مجدداً أن مصانع الأدوية اللبنانية، كما عهدتموها في مختلف الأزمات السابقة، ستكون على جهوزية تامة لمواجهة أي طارئ قد يشهده الوطن (لا سمح الله).

This engaging and informative session was a valuable opportunity to connect with key stakeholders from government, academia, and industry, and to contribute to shaping the 2026 Healthcare KIC roadmap.

Spil board members, Mrs. Jomana Jaber and Mr. Tarek Tabbara, participated in the LCPS conference, which aimed to discuss ways to strengthen three of Lebanon’s most promising industries — with the Lebanese pharmaceutical industry at the forefront.

During the conference, the Spil representatives highlighted the vital role this sector plays in Lebanon’s economy and healthcare system. They also emphasized the importance of localizing production and the need for government support to boost exports.

It was a significant opportunity for the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Industries in Lebanon to participate in the “Mission Retour de l’Économie de la Francophonie” conference organized by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). The President of the Syndicate, Dr. Carole Abi Karam, took part in the panel discussion and presented to the audience an overview of the current state of Lebanon’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

Dr. Abi Karam highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with Lebanon in this vital field and emphasized the industry’s strong potential for export thanks to its high-quality production. She also stressed that Lebanon has exceptional human, scientific, and technological resources, enabling it to produce and export top-tier pharmaceutical products.
