Food intolerance testing is not a medical tool- it’s a profit-oriented marketing strategy.

Here are some scientific studies you can check them out🤗

1. Atkinson, W., Sheldon, T. A., Shaath, N., & Whorwell, P. J. (2004). Food elimination based on IgG antibodies in irritable bowel syndrome: A randomised controlled trial. Gut, 53(10), 1459–1464.
— Classic RCT that tested IgG-directed elimination diets in IBS patients, showing methodological limitations that raise questions about IgG testing accuracy and utility.
2. Lavine, E. (2012). Blood testing for sensitivity, allergy or intolerance to food. PMC Article. — This review explains that IgG, especially IgG4, is a marker of exposure or tolerance, not intolerance, and that IgG tests are not recognized diagnostic tools.
3. Kelso, J. M. (2018). Unproven diagnostic tests for adverse reactions to foods. Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice. — Reviews evidence and concludes that IgG/IgG4 food testing lacks sufficient evidence for diagnosing food intolerance.
4. “Myth of IgG food panel testing.” (American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology). — The AAAAI states that IgG tests have never been scientifically proven to accomplish what they claim and that elevated IgG levels often reflect exposure, not harmful reactions.
5. “Are food sensitivity tests accurate?” (Food Allergy Canada – Mythbuster). — This summary from a clinical expert body highlights that because IgG levels reflect exposure/tolerance rather than intolerance, IgG tests are not recommended for diagnosing food allergies or intolerances.
