AIM FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES A DAY!

Regular physical activity is very important for your health.
Being physically active can:
✅️ Improve your brain and psychological health
✅️ Help manage your weight
✅️ Reduce risk of diseases and cancer
✅️ Strengthen your muscle and bone
✅️ Improve your ability to do your daily activities

Research recommend a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, preferably all, days.
❗️Here are examples of moderate intensity physical activity:
brisk walk, golf, mowing the lawn or swimming.
And vigorous intensity:
❗️jogging, aerobics, fast cycling, soccer or netball.

"What should I eat before and after my weight loss surgery?"
Here's your answer:

✅ Pre-gastric sleeve or bypass diet (2 weeks before your surgery):
-Low calories diet to shrink your liver
-Low in carbohydrates, such as sweets, potatoes, and pasta.
-High in lean protein, vegetables, and low or zero-calorie fluids

✅ Week 1 after your surgery:
-Clear liquid diet
-Avoid dehydartion by drinking 2 to 3 L of liquids
-Avoid sugar, caffeine and carbonated beverages

✅ Week 2 after your surgery:
-Full liquid diet
-Protein shakes, low sugar shakes
-Soups with no chunks
-Yogurt, fruit juices, jelo
-Also avoid carbonated beverages

✅ Week 3 after your surgery:
-Add soft, pureed foods
-Eat slowly, increase your protein intake
-Eggs, puree, white fish, hummus, banana, avocado...

✅ Week 4 after your surgery:
-Add solid food
-Sugar and fat still need to be avoided
-High protein food chicken, fish, vegetables, sweet potatoes, fruits...

✅ Week 5 after your surgery:
-Emphasize on lean ptotein and vegetables
-Gradually add new foods
-Avoid sugar sweets and soda
-Chew slowly and do not overeat
-Eat 3 meals with minimal snacks in between
-Remember to stay hydrated but drink 30 minutes before or after a meal, not with meals.

The Art of Surgery

Dr Wissam Dib specialised in Bariatric Surgery at CHU de Poitiers, France using minimally-invasive techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery with the aid of the novel DaVinci Xi robot. After returning to his home country, Dr Dib is currently a specialist of general and digestive surgery including bariatric surgery at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, Beirut, where he holds an academic rank as Assistant Professor of clinical surgery.

After receiving his MD degre, Dr Dib pursued his passionate specialty in digestive surgery at one of France’s most advanced bariatric surgery center in Poitiers. In addition to laparoscopy, this top-notch university medical center offered the expertise in robotic assisted surgery using the newest generation, refined, DaVinci Xi robot.

Dr Dib is a Fellow of the French Society for Visceral and Bariatric Surgery in addition to his affiliaton with the lebanese Order of Physicians and the Lebanese Society for General Surgery.

Soon after his assignment as “Chef de Clinique” at CHU Poitiers, Dr Dib’s experience exponentially increased with the support of the famous french Professor Jean-Pierre Faure, one of most renowned bariatric surgery proctor in France.
