She completed her medical studies and residency at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, and accomplished a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Rothschild foundation, Paris. She completed her medical studies and residency at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, and accomplished a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Rothschild foundation (Paris) and Saint Pierre Hospital (Brussels). She is a fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology and a member of several international scientific societies. She holds, as well, master degrees in science and ethics from the Paris Descartes - Sorbonne University.
