Last year, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously declared December 21 as World Meditation Day — a day for humanity to pause together in peace.
Dr. Nader, MD, PhD, MARR, successor to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and global leader of the Transcendental Meditation® organization, invites every meditator, in every tradition and system, to join together and again encircle the Earth in a living current of peace.
We invite all meditation traditions, systems, faiths, and peace organizations to participate equally. Whatever your meditation practice, please join. Governments, spiritual leaders, practitioners of any meditation practice are invited to participate.
In our shared stillness, there are no boundaries — only the light of consciousness uniting us all.
Join us in this 33-hour global event to nurture health and well-being in mind and body for people of every nation.
In this simple way, a wave of harmony and positivity will circle our planet as together we all celebrate World Meditation Day.
Meditators in all parts of the world are invited to begin your morning meditation at 8:00 AM local time* on Sunday, 21 December 2025. As the globe turns, hour by hour, time zone by time zone, each of us will start our morning meditation at 8:00 AM. And, later the same day, each of us will start our evening meditation at 5:00 PM local time.
What’s the importance of Meditation:
World Meditation Day is dedicated to promoting health, mental well-being, and peace for the individual and community through the practice of meditation. This day brings attention to the profound impact meditation can have on reducing stress, enhancing focus, and fostering a sense of calm in our daily lives. By participating, individuals can experience the collective energy of a global community committed to the development of individual and collective consciousness.
This international celebration aims to raise awareness about the benefits of meditation, encouraging a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.
