Lower back deformity caused by severe scar tissue following a failed operation performed by an unqualified and unprofessional surgeon.
This patient underwent liposuction combined with a body lift by an inexperienced surgeon, which resulted in serious complications, including infection and necrosis. The procedure caused major deformity with extensive tissue loss in the back.
Reconstruction was performed in several stages. Multiple corrective surgeries were required, using advanced reconstructive techniques to gradually advance healthy skin and reconnect the upper back to the lower back, aiming to restore both form and function.
Before: prior to the first corrective operation
After: following the final reconstructive step
Correction of the flanks will be addressed next, now that the back reconstruction has been completed.
This case highlights the consequences of improper surgical training and poor patient selection.
