Wanna know what an 8 year progress looks like?
From balancing by pure chance, not knowing how to extend my chest forward, and barely dropping the legs. To a deeper almost effortless years later.
This before picture was not at the beginning of my journey, it was 3 years in. And that was for me huge progress back then. Despite weak shoulders here I was doing a forearm stand, and I beat the fear of falling over.
Despite life getting busier, my practice has been my constant, and on days where I can barely go thru sun salutations, I know that showing up is the first step to progress.

Backbends have always been my best friends
Until I delivered. Once I resumed my practice, they felt so different. Everything was difficult.
My lower back couldn’t take the strain, my shoulders were tight, my arms couldn’t take the weight, and my hips and abdominal area felt so blocked.
For the first time in my practice, I had to go back to the basics ( that I always skipped) and just listen to my body
Fast forward to now. It feels so good to see the weekly progress, strains turning into stretches, and I am just grateful to be on the mat with the same body but not exactly the same

Hello everyone
Yesterday baby Charlie turned 2 weeks old, and subsequently I am 2 weeks post partum
The picture of my body shows significant improvement:
Thanks to breastfeeding my tummy is going back to its original shape
I have lost half the weight I had gained so far
My blood pressure is normalizing ( I had high blood pressure which caused some complications during my pregnancy)
Pain is very minimal
Things you don’t see:
The emotional roller coaster
The fears and special needs of a preemie
The amount of food and water needed to be able to feed this tiny human being
Discomfort in my body linked to lack of sleep and awkward positions

Being a new mom is the best and most scary thing ever, I really understand everything our moms did and felt while raising us

Hello everyone!
I have been away as baby Charlie decided to come earlier than expected:)
We are over the moon and I can’t believe it finally happened ( I will be sharing more on that later)
Today is my 6th day post partum, and I thought for a change to show what my body looks like after 37weeks ( second picture)of pregnancy and a delivery ( first picture)
Bouncing back cannot be your number one priority
You will look 5 months pregnant for a while
You need to eat to feed your baby
No 2 women are the same, you can’t compare yourself to others
Things will get worse before they go back to normal
Let’s normalize the recovery process, and allow our bodies to heal and feed at the same time
