Hydradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition affecting hair follicles, often in areas like armpits, groin, and under the breast. It has nothing to do with poor hygiene. It’s linked to genetic, hormonal and immune system factors. Multiple treatment protocols exist that help control and slow down disease progression thus improving one’s quality of life.

Honored to Speak at the Lebanese Society of Rheumatology Annual Congress

It was a pleasure to be invited by the Lebanese Society of Rheumatology to give a talk on dermatologic side effects of antirheumatic drugs during their annual congress last weekend in Beirut.

I truly enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues from different hospitals — exchanging cases, sharing dermatologic insights, and engaging in such meaningful discussions across our specialties.

A big thank you to Nelly Ziade, MD, PhD, FRCP and the organizers for this opportunity and for hosting such a valuable scientific event !

تشرفتُ بالتحدث في المؤتمر السنوي للجمعية اللبنانية لأمراض الروماتيزم

كان من دواعي سروري تلقي دعوة من الجمعية اللبنانية لأمراض الروماتيزم لإلقاء محاضرة حول الآثار الجانبية الجلدية لأدوية الروماتيزم خلال مؤتمرها السنوي الذي عُقد نهاية الأسبوع الماضي في بيروت.

Skin aging of the hands can sneak up when you least expect it.

Here are ways in which you start early prevention:

- Apply sunscreen when there’s daily exposure to sunlight
- Use moisturizes with hyaluronic acid and/or retinoid creams to improve hydration and texture
- Injections of Dermal Fillers could restore volume
- Micro-needling with Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) could stimulate collagen regeneration and cellular turnover
-Laser treatment could also help with cellular regeneration and collagen production to restore skin elasticity and remove unwanted age/sun spots



قد تظهر علامات شيخوخة بشرة اليدين فجأةً. إليكِ طرق الوقاية المبكرة:
ضعي واقيًا من الشمس عند التعرض اليومي لأشعة الشمس.
