MYOPIA AWARNESS WEEK! Please watch to the end!
Here’s something every parent needs to hear 👇👀
If your kids don’t spend enough time outdoors, their risk of myopia skyrockets and their eyes can end up like this balloon.

A myopic eye is longer than normal, which increases tension inside the eye and raises the risk of retinal tears and detachment… just like a balloon that’s over-inflated.

By 2050, half of the world’s population will have Myopia! And yes, it’s already happening because of too much screen time and not enough natural light.

If myopia appears, early action is essential.

Most people get this WRONG 👀
Monthly lenses are NOT “30 wears”… they’re 30 days after opening — even if you didn’t use them.
And your lens solution?
Throw it out 3 months after opening (yes, even if it’s still full).

These two mistakes cause the majority of eye infections.
Use your lenses right = safe 👌
Use them wrong = trouble 😵‍💫

Daily lenses are still the safest option: wear, remove, toss.
Your eyes are worth it 🤍

If you’re getting ready-made reading glasses from the pharmacy or a dollar store, here’s what you should know 👇

Those off-the-shelf glasses are not made specifically for you.
They don’t account for your pupillary distance (PD), meaning the lenses aren’t aligned with your eyes. That misalignment can cause headaches, dizziness, or eye strain.

Plus, both lenses usually have the same power, but most people don’t have identical vision in both eyes 👁️👁️
And to make things worse, the lens quality is often poor — no anti-reflective coating, leading to blurry or uncomfortable vision.

✨ If you want clear and comfortable sight, the solution is simple:
Visit an eye care specialist and get glasses made just for you.

📍Don’t ignore these signs — they might indicate a vision problem.
Even if your child doesn’t complain, it’s important to have their eyes checked regularly. Many vision issues show no obvious symptoms.

Proud to have taken part in a specialized low vision training focused on clinical cases involving disability.
The training was led by two expert trainers from Italy, and brought together 25 optometry professionals from across Lebanon.
It was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and PHEOC, in collaboration with the Syndicate of Optometrists in Lebanon.
This experience was a powerful step toward more inclusive and responsive healthcare.
