We’re excited to announce the launch of the Bridge S*xual & Reproductive Health Clinic right here at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College!

Students and staff will soon have free, confidential, youth-friendly SRH services right on campus — no long waits, no travel, no stigma.

Here’s what you can expect from the Bridge Clinic:
💙 Rapid STI/HIV testing
💙 Contraceptive counseling & emergency contraception
💙 General health checks
💙 Referrals to SLPPA’s main clinic for additional care
💙 SRH education & support from our YAM student advocates
💙 Access for both students and staff.

Why does this matter?

Because young people deserve accurate information, safe services, and a place where they feel comfortable taking charge of their health. The Bridge Clinic helps build healthy habits that last a lifetime. 💪🏽

We join the global community in observing the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Violence including physical, s*xual, emotional, economic, and digital violence continues to affect nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide. This is unacceptable!

At the St. Lucia Planned Parenthood Association (SLPPA), we stand with survivors, advocate for prevention, and work to ensure access to safe, confidential, and respectful services for all women and girls.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is proud to be a leading voice bringing together partners, advocates, and changemakers from around the world to advance s*xual and reproductive health, rights, and justice for all.

Through a powerful series of sessions, side events, and conversations, IPPF showcased evidence, stories, and innovations from across its global Federation — from community-led service delivery to bold advocacy that defends the right to choose.

The 2025 IPPF General Assembly was held under the theme: “Lead with Love, Care with Courage.”

As we move forward, let’s continue to champion justice, equity, and the empowerment of all individuals.

Awareness-raising is key!

Awareness of gender-based violence is key to spreading the clear message of zero tolerance of violence in all forms. It is key to informing victims of their rights and support services available to them and this includes the St Lucia Planned Parenthood Association.

We recently held an information session on gender-based violence and mental wellness. The discussions centered on raising awareness and a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding these topics so that healthy choices are always the order of the day.
