January is cervical cancer awareness month.

‎Cervical cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer related deaths among women in Saint Lucia, yet it is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when detected early. Cervical Health Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of prevention, regular screening, and timely treatment to safeguard the health of women and girls on our island.

Here's whats needed for early detection & treatment:

‎2. Safe sexual practices thereby reducing exposure to HPV
