Women are natural givers. We give our time, love, energy, and wisdom to our families, our work, and our communities. But the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, “Give to Gain,” reminds us of something important.

Giving must include ourselves.

When we give ourselves permission to rest, heal, and reconnect with who we are, something powerful happens.
We gain our health, our strength, our confidence, and sometimes… ourselves again.

I am deeply grateful to the women who trust me with their stories and allow me to walk beside them on their healing journeys.

When women give to themselves as well as to others, we all gain.
