St Lucia Dove Club Mission Statement: To provide support that enable second chances to critically ill children, needing medical assistance through the World Pediatric Project

The Dove club of St. Lucia is a non-profit organization founded as a support group for the World Pediatric Project. Our mandate is to ensure that every child in St. Lucia who is eligible gains access to medical care provided by the World Pediatric Project .We believe that every child deserves the chance to a happier life and every family should be afforded the means to fulfill that dream. We vow to support parents financially, emotionally and psychologically and ensure that no child is left behind due to circumstances which are beyond their parents’ control. We vow to go above and beyond to fulfill our vision of increasing smiles and supporting families in need.

The theme for World Health Day 2021 is "Building a fairer, healthier world," which is precisely what World Pediatric Project has been working toward for twenty years.

A healthier world includes access to surgery. The Lancet Commission on Global Health states that "surgery is an indispensable, indivisible part of basic health care provision." And while the world continues to battle the pandemic, barriers to surgical access remain for children in the countries where World Pediatric Project partners.

World Pediatric Project continues to strive for a world where all children can readily access quality pediatric surgical care that is lifesaving or life-changing. We recognize today all those who are working to address global health inequities.
