CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MR. PERCIVAL MCDONALD !
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, leadership, and members of Pandraa HealthTech University (PHU), we extend our deepest condolences and profound sorrow on the passing of Mr. Percival McDonald on January 13, 2026.
Mr. McDonald was a Founding Member of the Board of Trustees and the Founding President of Pandraa HealthTech University. His visionary leadership, principled governance, and unwavering commitment to excellence played a defining role in shaping the mission, values, and academic direction of PHU. Through his strategic guidance and steadfast dedication, he helped lay a strong foundation for the University’s commitment to advancing healthcare education, research, and workforce development in Saint Lucia, the Caribbean, and beyond.
We remain deeply grateful for Mr. McDonald’s extraordinary service, wisdom, and lifelong contributions to healthcare, education, and public service. His legacy continues to inspire our university community and will remain permanently embedded in the institutional fabric of PHU.
We also wish to express our sincere appreciation and sense of privilege for the gracious permission granted to Pandraa HealthTech University, through Mrs. McDonald on behalf of her husband, to establish and launch The Percival McDonald Scholars of Excellence Award. This distinguished award will stand as a lasting tribute to Mr. McDonald’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service, and will continue to inspire future generations of scholars in his name.
During this time of profound loss, our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt sympathies are with Mrs. McDonald, the McDonald family, and loved ones. May they find comfort in the knowledge that Mr. McDonald’s life and legacy have touched countless lives and will continue to do so for generations to come.
May the Lord grant strength, peace, and consolation to the McDonald family, and may Mr. Percival McDonald’s soul rest in eternal peace.
